Lemon Bread

- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup sifted flour
- 1 scant teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup 7-UP
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
Blend well the butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add extract. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to egg mixture alternately with 7-UP. Blend just enough to mix. Fold in lemon peel and chopped hazelnuts. Turn into greased loaf pan. Bake in slow oven 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes.
